what did they used to do?

this little machine pumps breast milk from mara’s breasts so they don't explode. which leads me to constantly ask…what did parents do before the advent of all this baby gear? currently, we have a special warming dispenser for wipes (so they are not cold on his bare butt), an infant chair that vibrates to simulate a soothing car ride, a stuffed bear that has an on/off switch that simulates a mother's beating heart, and a thermometer that reads his temperature through a swipe of his forehead, to name a few of these gadgets...and this baby care work is still not easy!

to boot, all this stuff is taking over our small home! our kitchen table is now a changing station. my night table is covered in butt paste, burp cloths, and charts detailing every time this bugger eats, pees, and deficates (down to the exact minute).

Where does my bike go now? he he. in fact, i love seeing all this stuff take over my life.
