the pitocin was giving mara nice contractions, but our son hated them. cant say i blame him. around 8am, the doctor noticed mara had not dialated much more, the baby's heartbeat was showing signs of severe stress, and her cervex was still not completely ready. so the doctor recommended we do a c-section for the sake of the baby's health. while mara was being prepped, mara's mom and i had to slip into some scrubs.
