in the end, grosser manned up!

grosser was hurting. one can see the anguish in his grimace. at one point, i could faintly hear a plead for his mother. i've taken the liberty of sparring you the amount of blood which oozed out of his thumb. disfigurement is always a concern when dealing with lacerations. hence, the utmost care was taken while the lesion was naked.

mara + i's place is not properly set up as a triage emergency room. however, these are the tools we implemented in dealing with grosser's injury. please note toothbrush, mouth wash, + my lense cap were not used.

fortunately for grosser, mara + i hung on to a can of vagina spray after jasper's birth. this spray, known as dermoplast, is applied to the "jj" immediately after birth to cool, numb, and sooth. in this case, grosser's thumb was temporarily numbed. mara gets the credit for the nicely re-applied wound dressing.
