attention bloggers!!

my sister jessica + frank have a blog!

...and a baby on the way!

jasper has a contact lens! we've reached a milestone by placing his contact lens in the eye. it's not easy. we were instructed yesterday + today was our first trail run without a doctor over our shoulder.

placing it in is a great deal harder than taking it out. however, once we do indeed get it in + make sure it's placed properly, jasper is cool as lettuce. holding him down to place it in is a totally different story.

the kid is a trooper and we will soon begin patching the good eye to strengthen the bum one.

doc appointment update

great news from the this doc appointment. the cornea looks great and now we are back on track to begin placing a contact lens in the eye on tuesday. we've averted the cornea transplant.

starting tuesday, we will place the lens in the eye for about an hour, slowly building up to 4-5 hours a day. we will also begin to aggressively patch the left eye to rehab the right one.

ball + mitt

we finally bought jasper a ball + mitt. he hasn't put it down since. he eats with it. wants to bring it in the bath. and, of course, wants to go to bed with it. last night we came back in his room a few hours after he fell asleep and we took this pic.
