here's a real treat for all. my dad sent me this unflattering shot of me as a one year old, and took this equally risque photo of jasper during his visit last week. my dad conveniently forgot to attach any photos of him as a naked toddler. jasper's got the pose down but needs to work on that belly.

temperature is down to 101 and we got a few smiles today, but he is still not back to himself yet.

our dear friend father willy has a great deal to be proud of. he was the main organizer and leader behind the rosary bowl, held last night at the rose bowl where around 50,000 people all prayed the rosary.

good friends aaron + niki came over with their one month old Olivia. this caught jasper's attention.

my dad was kind enough to help us replace some of our bathroom faucets. mara was so overcome with joy, she nearly bit her tongue.

my dad was in town for 2 days so we headed over to auntie em's in eagle rock for lunch. jasper enjoyed dining on the table cloth and suck on the earlier patron's leftovers.

happy mother's day!

mother's day comes only once a year, so it's only the best in town for mara today! we crusied on down to downtown LA to phillipe's, where we dined on roast beef sandwiches, steaming pancakes, + a special slice of carrot cake for the best mom in the county. better yet, the millers + the flaggs joined us!

never a dull moment in los angeles

raging fires are within a few minutes drive, police are a tad too rough sometimes, + an arrogant girl named for the city of lights finally gets her lights turn off for 45 days...all in my city!

it's dry as a bone here in LA. in fact, we are in eye sight of this, but jasper wanted to try on his new boots he got courtesy of aunt jessica for his birthday.
